CHILDREN'S MINISTRY DIRECTOR POSITION INFORMATION
Christ’s Church of the Valley (CCV) is seeking a Children's Ministry Director to develop and lead the children's ministry from Nursery-5th grade. This position requires a person of utmost integrity and spiritual maturity who is self-motivated and a flexible team member. This person must have a heart for children with the ability to partner with parents and lead a team of volunteers for maximum effectiveness. This person should be highly relational with strong execution skills and have a strong alignment with CCV’s vision, values and culture.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Children’s Ministry Director is entrusted with the leadership and development of a dynamic ministry focused on nurturing the spiritual growth of children from birth through fifth grade. This role involves the creation and organization of impactful programs, activities, and events tailored to children of varying ages. The Director will also be responsible for building, leading, and empowering a team of volunteers to support and enhance the children’s ministry.
ROLE PURPOSE
The primary goal of the Children’s Ministry Director is to provide spiritual guidance and a supportive environment for children and their families. The Director is responsible for developing and implementing programs that foster spiritual growth, community engagement, and a deepening of faith. Ensuring the highest standards of safety and well-being, the Director also plays a key role in supporting families, helping them understand the significance of their child’s faith journey and aiding in their own spiritual development.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Children’s Ministry Director plays a crucial role in providing spiritual leadership and direction to the church’s youngest members. This position demands a deep commitment to Christian faith and a passion for guiding children towards becoming devoted followers of Jesus. The Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing programs that encourage spiritual growth, relationship building, and community service. Additionally, the Director will recruit and train volunteers, manage budgets, and collaborate with church staff to ensure the ministry meets the broader needs of the congregation. The ideal candidate will have outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership abilities, combined with a vibrant and engaging personality. They should excel in connecting with children at their level and demonstrate a successful history of developing and leading children’s ministries.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop, lead, and oversee children’s ministry programs and activities
- Recruit, train, and mentor volunteers

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Children’s Ministry, Education, Theology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in children’s ministry (preferred)
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Bible and the ability to convey biblical principles to children
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team of volunteers
- Strong understanding of cultural issues impacting children
